For those of you who haven't heard... We just finished up our second full-day education workshop for 2017 in Kansas City at The Gallery Event space (downtown in the Power and Light district). In short: It was a blast!

We partnered with one of our good friends and wedding planner Madison from Madison Sanders Events to pull together a day full of Instagram-worthy details -- not to mention an incredible breakfast, sit-down lunch and cocktail hour! Kaleigh from Austin-based Méldeen came up with the inspiration for the day. We loved the stage backdrop (by Blue BouquetMadison Sanders Event and Ultrapom) to the acrylic chairs. Beyond all the fabulous details, it was really the collaboration, learning and networking that was so inspiring. All of the photos below were captured by the talented epagaFOTO!


The pops of color throughout the floral decor from Blue Bouquet were truly eye-catching. All Seasons Event Rental provided the tables and chiavari chairs. Music during lunch was provided by the talented Pat Woolam and Mark Lowrey from Jukeboxx Media/Lost Wax and Friends.




And there was no shortage of content! Local pros Hannah Schumm of Weddings by Hannah, Irene Sparks of Hawthorne House, Mikayla Crane of White Carpet Bride and Rita Clark of Heirloom Photo Company opened up to share helpful tips and honest feedback. We also got to hear from Brian Leahy of Brian Leahy Photography (Networking to Networth) SoCal-based Jesi Haack of Jesi Haack Design (Building Your Brand), and Lincoln Nebraska-based bridal boutique owner Emmy Gorman of Blush Bridal Boutique (Double Your Business and Cut Your Ad Spend: Working Smarter, Not Harder).


Another highlight of the day was the couples panel session in the morning. Anja Winikka moderated a conversation with a few KC-area couples who were recently married and just-engaged.


Our workshop didn't end with details and content -- we also had a head shot bar plus the opportunity to work one-on-one with strategy specialists, social media consultants and real weddings photo experts.
