This Is How (and When) To Submit Weddings to The Knot Magazine in 2017

Want to get featured in the next issue of The Knot Magazine? (Of course you do!). Our real weddings team just released their 2017-2018 magazine submission deadline calendar and some of the deadlines are right around the corner.

Getting featured in The Knot Magazine not only means you get to see your work in print, you also get to see your work on and across our social channels. (That's a very powerful marketing vehicle.)

Submitting is easy. We use a platform called Two Bright Lights to take in all of our submissions. Two Bright Lights works with over 400 publications to help photographers, planners, venues and other creatives to get featured. It's totally free to submit to The Knot. Just go to

Photographers are often the ones to submit but planners, venues (and anyone else!) can use Two Bright Lights to submit photos.

The Knot National Magazine, Winter 2017

June 13, 2017
The real weddings section of the national magazine usually includes five to seven weddings. Our advice: Don't hold back on submitting a wedding just because you want the team to consider it for the national magazine. Weddings that are submitted to our local magazines are also considered for the national magazine.

That said, if you have a great wedding that was either destination or took place outside of one of our local magazine regions, you'll definitely want to submit for the national magazine.
